More and more people are choosing to look for love on wealthy dating sites, but how many of the people on those sites are, in fact, wealthy? If you’re trying to demonstrate your financial success, then it’ll take a little more than some numbers and your word to make you look credible. A wealthy male that is trying prove himself would do well to come up with some classy demonstrations of his status.
I don’t have a lot of money, but I like to think that if I were rich enough to back up my imagination, then I’d have a lot of material for dazzling displays of affection. How could you fail with a line like, “I’m really enjoying this conversation… would you like to continue it in Italy?” Another good one would be, “so you enjoy sailing? Would you like to spend your holiday on a 70-foot schooner?” I mean, come on, who would say “no” to questions like that? Fist they’d laugh because they though you were joking, and then they’d say, “I’d love to.”
There would be a lot of benefits to that kind of financial liberty. Creating a great first impression online is all very well and good, but it’s even better if you can strike up a conversation with someone living on the other side of the country and still be able to ask them out for a causal lunch. Come to think of it, the whole first impression thing would get a lot easier very quickly. You’d have to convince people that you’re not joking with them and that you aren’t crazy, but apart from that it would be pretty easy to get a second chance with someone if you can offer them all kinds of exciting experiences in your company.
Now, of course, I’m being a bit fanciful. I don’t mean to joke, because there are a lot of good reasons to get into wealthy dating that don’t really involve material concerns. I’m just enjoying the though of being able to cast myself as a wealthy male who can do dazzling things. I got the idea in my head when I read on the BBC News website that they are auctioning off a section of stairs from the Eiffel Tower. The expect the bidding to start around $44,000, and the piece weighs over 700kg, so I imagine shipping and handling would be on the costly side. I don’t know if it would be the best of all perfect first date gifts, it might be a bit over-the-top, but just imagine the look on woman’s face when you invite her over to you apartment and walk her up the stairs of the Eiffel Tower. Now that, my friends, would be classy.
