I have news…

While away this week I got to chatting with a lady through the internet.
No - not in a chat room or anything sordid, and in fact not even through one of the dating websites I may have mentioned before, but through a networking and “rating” site… (Yes - the embarrassment of writing that down has only just struck me!)

I am perplexed…
I am caught with excitement at the prospect of something new - even if it is just a friendship, and yet tainted by previous disappointment in this area, and knowing that online chemistry has seldom translated into real life fire works.

All the same… I will see what happens, taking things one day at a time, step by step.
I am not one for getting my hopes up though - I think that’s a defense mechanism…
